Sunday, November 10th at 1pm Savannah Reid, Head Farmer at Orchard Kitchen (and daliha tuber guru) will be hosting our first ever Dahlia Tuber Workshop. This is a two hour class that will go over how to dig, divide and store dahlia tubers. Participants will be shown how to:

*Properly dig and lift tubers out of the ground.

*How to divide clumps of all different shapes and sizes.

*What makes a tuber "viable." 

*How to store tubers effectively/ how to avoid different types of rot. 

*What tools/ supplies you will need to do this successfully at home.

Summer dalihas in all their glory.

Class is $100 per person and will include wine and small bites. Each attendee will be sent home with one pre-packaged dahlia tuber and a print out of everything we went over in class. Plus information on our spring tuber sale, other local growers and Savannahs favorite varieties. 

What you will need:

If possible, bring your own snips to class to divide tubers. 

If you have your own dahlia tubers and would like to bring them, feel free to do so!
