Dahlia Tuber Workshop Recap

Head Farmer, Savannah examining tubers.

Last weekend we hosted our first ever Dahlia workshop with Savannah Reid, head farmer at Orchard Kitchen. The day started with introductions and then a walk out into the fields to learn how to dig up tubers correctly. Afterwards guests gathered in the barn for their first glass of bubbly and hors d’oeuvres. Once instructions were finished each student was given their own cluster of tubers to practice with. More wine and snacks were brought throughout including Dahlia chips made by Chef. It was an excellent day with such a great group. We can’t wait to do it again!

For those who wanted to join and weren’t able to, stay tuned! We plan on having more classes led by Savannah on all things farm and flower in the future.
