Fall & Winter Offerings | A Letter from Our Team
New Hours and New Offerings
Uncertainties are one of the hardest things for humans to handle, and 2020 sure has been full of them—for us, for you and likely for most everyone you know. For our sweet restaurant, this has meant closing our dining room and constantly adapting to ever-changing requirements. We’ve been rolling with the many challenges just like you and your families have been doing.
2020 has been a BEAR, and as we enter Fall we are once again, pivoting. We’ve been doing our best to keep our community fed through the strange times of Covid-19. We’ve learned and used three different reservation and sales systems, we’ve kept many of our staff employed and adapted our business model 4 times in the last 6 months. Now is the time for our next (and fifth) PIVOT. Or perhaps we just have the spins? It’s hard to tell!
Beginning October 2020 we are temporarily discontinuing our Thursday and Saturday dinners. While the obstacles of curbside pick-up in the oncoming fall/winter season have made themselves perfectly clear, we are taking the opportunity to provide a creative space for our restaurant to offer new items. Vincent will spend more time, in different ways, creating, playing, and feeding his passion around food and writing. Perhaps a book?
The good news is that we will continue offering provisions until we can invite you back to our newly renovated outside dining area:
· OK @ Home: We will be offering provisions and prepared food ready to reheat in your home - offerings will be available on Friday’s only. An earlier pick up time will allow you to safely stock up for the weekend and get home before the sun goes down.
· Our Farm Stand will remain open until the end of November for all your veggie needs. JUST ADDED! We have 5 more Fall CSA shares available to purchase! Don’t wait. We sell out fast.
· We will be starting a wine club!
Curious to see exactly what’s available? Check out our menu on TOCK, where items will be continuously updated and added to keep your pantry full of deliciousness.
For the past 5 years we at Orchard Kitchen have enjoyed your participation more than anything else. We appreciate you very much and share our heartfelt gratitude. This pivot provides the pause we need to preserve our original vision for Orchard Kitchen—a gathering place of conviviality, connection, and community through carefully sourced and crafted food. Please BEAR with us through the winter—spring will be here before we know it!
