We have bought the farm!

Wait, don't we already own the farm? Funny you should ask.

Orchard Kitchen grew up surrounded by Blake's, the owner of Ebb Tide Produce, farming efforts. He has been farming our land since 2013 when the Orchard Kitchen was still just a crazy idea.

In 2011, Blake was the Farm Manager of Willowood Farms in Coupeville. While delivering produce for our catering company he asked if we had any plans to farm our 3 acre field. We were busy with our huge project of getting the farm put into a presentable package so we welcomed him to use the land. For the last 6 years Blake has been cultivating our soil, running his own business, supplying the community, our family and, now, Orchard Kitchen with a wealth of amazingly sweet produce.

In 2017 for the first time our kitchen staff took over 10 rows of crops, from planting to harvest, being grown for us with Blake’s help.

All of this leads me to the most exciting news!

In 2018 we transition into full owner ship of the farm; full integration of the farm & kitchen with our Head Farmer, Jess Maeder.

Over the next year, we will be planning the ideal garden that a kitchen would like to have. Plotting and ruminating with Jess & our Sous Chef, Lis David. Our Kitchen Farm Stand will be open to the public with seasonal recipes to inspire. We are excited and hope to see you at the farm!
